[guide]howto fix some crashes

Wisp, you said you wanted people to report bugs, here you go!

First crash: Level up assistant npc,
problem: randomly the items bug, and will cause sql errors
solution: find out what causes it, OR remove it for the time being

Second Crash: Auction house,
Problem: during epic 6.1-6.2-6.3 official servers were highly unstable, this was due to people duping, the dupes cause sql to disconnect and gameserver to crash
Solution: fix the dupes, or remove AH

Third crash: Too many items in WH
problem: it seems over 500 items, CAN cause a crash, however not always 100% crash, just most the time
Solution: Set a limit to WH, OR remove Wh


i have a few other crash bugs, that im half sure, of, i will test them further, and try to re-invent them and find out what exactly causes/how to fix

u need to manually remove their scripts and spawn scripts from arcadia

theres one called NPC_Event_lvlup_contact() there are like 10 of them.. im not sure if its the right one..

flag npc as 0 to enable it, flag npc as 65xxx (reference angel/devil npcs) to disable it

There are a lot more issues with the database than just that... there are a lot of Procedural issues within the database the developers seemed to overlook.

Theres also a ton of dupitcated ids and item and omg tons and tons of crap in the dbs...nflavour didnt bother removing their crap lol

we didnt over look them it wasnt ment to be anything more then a stable beta, its no where near perfect yet.
thats actly already in the works removing duplicate stuffs i mean.
the reason beta was released was it had been a while and we wanted others closer to where we are in development.
@keith im making a memo of that ill look it over as far as a wh limiter thats ether in game server which means it needs the cap raised or in the db which probly means theres a line set incorrectly we will double check that

I tried removing/disabling the Auction House and the Level Up Manager - but still - my server crashes in reason of "Transaction Error: Lock blabla something with lock logging".

I used this line in game.opt S game.bUseLockLogging:0 and it seemed to work for 2 hour but afterwards it started crashing. The only thing that could cause these crashes are 'i think' either the already optained items of the level up assistant or the hidden village buffs - as they get an error sometimes when buffing.

Spamming the sort button can cause crashes too.

Also if you have a npc that hands things like ss packages out by talking to them and spamming that can cause a crash too.

lvup/haloween have no use, hv is only usefull for the bufs, let them play without bufs ;)

Anyone who is saying your should strip out integral parts of the server to stop crashing should just be flat out ignored. Redemption has over 1 week solid up time with up to 20 users, ye the net it's hosted on is crappy and can only hold around 10 users at a time but it has not once ever crashed (it just likes to D/C people when it gets over 10 people) so don't listen to this garbage about removing your npcs. Deadlock issues are caused by timeouts in SQL
