A few people have asked for this so I figured I would just try and help out a bit. This is very basic and simple and will at least shed some light on CE for beginners.
First - Use FireFox, or Google Chrome and log into your BYM account.
Second - Open up CE
Now, we have to attach CE to our BYM. To do this these are the steps as follows.
1. Click the computer looking icon that is glowing red and green.
2. Select the correct .exe from the process list by double clicking it. *(FireFox users will select plugin-container.exe and Google Chrome users will normally select the 3rd. Chrome .exe.
3. Test to make sure you have the correct process by clicking on "Enable Speedhack" DO NOT CLICK APPLY If you do not get an error message you are all set. If you DO get an error message repeat step 1. and select another corresponding process. This error message normally gets people with Google Chrome.
4. You will see "Value Type" It will say (4 Bytes) Click it and then select "Array of Bytes"
5. Click "Also scan read-only memory"
6. In the blank box marked "Array of Bytes" is where you will be putting in the codes or better known as "offsets"
7. Click "First Scan"
8. Now on the left hand side you will see a box named "Address" This is where you will get the address of the Array of Bytes you just did a scan for. These are what you will be altering.
9. Right click an address and choose "Disassemble this memory region"
9a. This will open another window. This is called the "Memory Viewer" This is where all editing of the memory and Opcodes will take place.
10. To edit in the "Memory Viewer" just double click on the appropriate Opcode that corresponds with "Address" you clicked "Disassemble" for and you will get another box that pops up called the "Single Line Assembler"
*In most cases when you click on "Disassemble this Memory region" the Opcode you are looking to edit will be highlighted for you already
11. Here is where you will edit the one line so your hack will work. Just backspace over what you need to change and type in the edited line that people made and click "OK"
12. Close the "Memory Viewer" and you have just completed editing for your hack. Now like I said this is a very basic TuT. Some hacks are a little more complex to get going and there may be more to edit. There are a bunch of BYM hacks all over this forum so I did not go into what codes do what and how to set them all up within CE. All you have to do is read a little bit and find the codes you want and then just simply follow this TuT as HOW to input and edit what you need. All the hacks people put out have details as what to change. you just have to read a few posts and you will be all set.
Hope this helps some of you who are new to using Cheat Engine :D
