Classic Conquer Online Private Server

Hello, I have been a member to this site for a while but never really spent much time posting things so I'm fairly new to this. Anyways, enough about that. My question here is "Is it possible to make a private conquer online server that works just like the normal conquer but uses a very old patch?". I want to make a private server that uses the same settings the game used before all this new crap came out and all the new classes. Preferably a patch that is roughly 4-5 years old and only has the basic classes and no horses and all that. I would like to keep the server settings to the original game settings for the most part, other than maybe making the db drop rate slightly higher along with super items. I enjoyed the game when I first started playing it, but now with all these updates I feel that they have ruined it. If anyone knows how to do this and would like to help me out I would greatly appreciate it. Keep in mind that I have never made a server before and would need things to be explained in detail since I would probably have no idea whats going on at first. Just as a minor heads up to the OP. If you find yourself looking for an experience rather than a public source you can host, [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is using the redux source and targeted as an even lower patch (5017). We are recruiting new players now and actively looking in new ways we could improve the experience.
