A lot of us remember the first time we played Rappelz - endless clicking around, awkward camera angles, strange acronyms, weird pets and a confusing job system. It was so different that it seemed intriguing - a unique creature system with a diverse set of classes! Who could ask for more? Everybody has a different story about how they first started out playing Rappelz... and how easy it was to first fall in love with it.
Things started to change. Everybody knows that games, like people, evolve over time - it's simply part of life. The developers began making change after change in a poor attempt to balance out Rappelz resulting in a frustrated player base. The Korean servers experienced an exponential population loss and other servers began to follow. It was only a matter of time before players that had quit were drawn back into the addictive lull we've all come to know as Rappelz.
As the developers eagerly finish the creation of Epic 7 Part 3, we must all ask ourselves an important question - is it really worth the time and the energy to play official servers any more? The endless grind, poor management and excessive hacking is enough to keep new players away from official servers, but what about the older generation who have invested countless hours into their characters, pets, gear sets, guilds, and friends who may not want to leave all their hard work behind?
