I want to Unpatch (depatch) WoW from 2.4.1 to 2.3.0

Hello

I want to depatch (unpatch) my Wow from 2.4.1 to 2.3.0.

Reason is simple: I want to play on a private server that supports only 2.3.0.

Anyone knows how I can do that?

edit: I think I will install WoW again and patch it till 2.3.0 it's easier

first you delete the "patch.mpq" file in your wow folder \data
then you start "repair.exe" in your wow folder, after the process, your wow is on patch 2.0
then you go to [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and download the patch to 2.3.3 or you download patch to patch until you have 2.3.3
i don't know how you can "unpatch" wow , sry 4 bad english :D ^^

yes just do it but it takes around 5 hours to complete, thats the bad news :)

(Let's say I have wow 2.3.3) What happens if I make a make a backup only to patch.mpq and then I patch the game to 2.4.0.

When I want to change it back I just have to copy the backup in Data folder and the game will come back to 2.3.3? Or I have to backup all the data folder (8 g.... Where I don't have enough space..) and then copy it to the data folder ?

if you have a backup you have to lunch the repair.exe too and that will take time..

There is onely one problem its not in english so when you get to the website you need to have first deleted the patch.mpq and when thats done go to the website. Once at the website choose the patch you want and do the deGB thing instead of clicking run click save and save it in your world of warcraft data folder this should solve the problem
