Project Kibou [Patch]

Hey, so the new encryption means that I can no longer run my server some what legally. I'm not going to go into details, but I can do any patch now. I've asked this question before- but I want to confirm interests.

What patch should I do? There's no way in hell that I'm giving up Project Kibou. I've put too much work into it.

Also, I know what fixes the 4267 - 4343 chat problem... but it's not easy on your part. I can still make a Conquer 1.0 server if you want.

Yah, 5500 has a lot of really nice resources for my ideas as well. My ideas don't have to make it onto this server though.

As long as you run DirectX 8.1 (or something near it) on Windows 2000 (or XP.. I'm not sure yet), Conquer 1.0 works fine.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm going to try cracking the cryptographer but if I can't, then I'll use patch 5500. If anyone has any suggestions, tips, concerns, or ideas for/about the server, just PM me.

I have an idea of what it might be, but there are a lot of possibilities. I'm going to have to go through each one... one by one... using a list I made. It doesn't give me all of the possibilities- but hopefully one of them will be the key I'm looking for.

Haha, I have no idea what it is (nor does it apply to what I'm doing), but I found the crypt routine in about 2 minutes with olly.
