I have a old pc with a rather new gpu and i'm overclocking it a little..

The card is Sapphire HD 6850

Stock - 775 / 1000
Current - 850 / 1100

I don't notice alot of difference in games is that because of my processor?

It's a AMD 64x Athlon (Toledo) 4400x 2.2GHZ

I only get around 50-90 with mid-settings but when nothing goes on i have 190~ o.O..

Well, you shouldnt try to overclock any hardware, i think. I guess you dont have the needed cooling flow, so it can really be dangerous for you hardware. Also, your OS could crash because of that.

50-90 FPS are not bad, but i cannot say anything more because you did not tell us your game you checked the fps in ;) And yep, its normal that your FPS claims to 190 or more if there is not much work for it.
With 25+ you shouldnt notice any bad smooth anymore.
Youre right, your CPU is a bit slow compared to your GPU.

Well the temperature is ok i think, 35-39 idle and 45 after 35-60 minutes of playing.. (i dont usually play longer)

The game is L4D2, and spiral knights / forsaken world >.<

Im just wondering if its worth it to oc before i buy a new cpu/mobo ~

As i said i would definitely not advise any overclocking for you. There is no need for that if you dont want to join the high-end gaming sector. And with your hardware, thats senseless anyways. You wouldnt even notice it i think..
