DDoS The gold bots?

Ok I was logging in on the 20th attempt at what used to be the lowest server traffic time of the day and realized that the gold bots overrunning has more than killed the economy of the server. So, since joymax wont take any action against them, we should just DDoS (Distributed Denial of Service) the hell out of all their IPs, which would cause a great enough disrupt for them to all DC too much to make any gold. All we gotta do is obtain lists of their IPs (this part I'm not so good at :() then set up a relatively simple AutoIT script to send packets through a little app (I'm trying to find a DDoS app thats clean; I know for a FACT the one on my other computer is spiked >.<).

So, you guys think this would work? It does not take much to DC from SRO, so it really shouldn't take too much to cause considerable damage.

So say what you think, give suggestions, or help provide IPs/Clean DDoS executables. Who knows, it could work.

well if you do get it to work... you'll be praised by every sro player out there... except those that are to lazy to go grind and earn gold by themselves

Well give it a go, but I don't think you will be able to get the IP anyway. Still You would have to send packets to a specific port with an open TCP connection. That means they would have to open a new connection. Cause You can't send packets to them through the game(they will only receive the answer packets from the server)

btw, DDoS is illegal, if you make a big server crash like google a few years ago you will get in jail

golbot are kinda illegal also

Actually, gold selling companies ARE illegal, the bots aren't, but the gold bots most definitely are. Ever heard of Unauthorized Vending of Private Property...if only Joymax had a legitimate legal staff they could bankrupt the gold selling companies and actually fix some of the game's bugs...but no. Vigilante justice ftw, although hmmm how can you snatch their IPs through sro_client...short of hacking Joymax's archives I'm currently confused :P

just visit a gold selling company and mail and ask for theirs ip.. ;)
