[ENG] Problems with net / pc

Hii..

I have some troubles with my connection i'm hoping someone who is good at this can answer my questions or help me!

1. I have a ADSL connection who is supposed to be 2MB/0.40MB Download / Upload

Q. - On speedtest.net i only get 0.19 (download) 0.43 (upload)

Someone know why its like this?
(only one pc running without downloads or background applications)

2. My computer laggs from time to time when trying to browse pictures

This happens mostly when trying to view images or folders but not in games..

Ideas?

how do you connect through your router?
Wireless or by cable?

well, ADSL connections and its speed depending on some factors.
Cable-lenght beetween DSLAM and your home. How many other houses are using this DSLAM, maybe ur CPE (DSL-Modem or NTBBA) is to old or defunctional, this is something you have to check with your ISP, but to be honest, in most cases, there is nothing you can do about....

the funny part about it, it was functioning well before.. but now its just gone slower and slower.. not to long ago we had the addressed speed and the isp are clueless aswell (i think they say like you do that something is old) but why did it work from the start then <.<

if your DSLAM is running out of ressources, becaus your ISP gets more and more customers in the near range of you, this could be the problem. If the ISP has upgraded the Hardware at the DSLAM or any nearby componets, your modem could become incopatible, but the ISP would never be honest to you in this case
