All these people telling you to take ice to 80 on a PURE STR bower have either never farmed a bower to 80, or simply have no idea what they are talking about. As a pure STR you are already going to have maxed out physical defense. The ONLY thing that cold will give you at 80 is the physical buff (Which you will not need) and The highest level snowshield. You will NOT need or want snowshield (At least nothing beyond the first book) Because your mp will be drained almost instantly in pvp. If you want to be good in pvp then do this:
Pacheon 80
Fire 80
LIGHT - 80
Cold - 60
The reason you want to take light to 80 is for the critical parry ratio increase, as well as the moving speed. Also, go fire imbue (You could go light imbue, it's basically a matter of preference). Going ice imbue will help you with grinding, but as a pure str you will be fine.
I'd make two sets if i were you. I always did this out of habit because i wanted to be ready for anyone. Make a garm set, pimped out all +5. This will (should) be your main set for jobbing, pvping, grinding etc. Then i would pimp out a protector set just in case you want to 1 v 1 another pure str or a euro.
