[Ultimate Steam Tonk Thread]
This is a thread I made to collect ALL of the Steam Tonk Exploits, complete with detailed, spelled, illustrated descriptions and details.
Steam Tonk Controller is a Engineering-crafted item that requires 1 Gold Power Cores, 3 Mithril Bars and 275 engineering to craft. Anyone can use it and it has 50 charges. The recipe can be bought in Orgrimmar (Limited supply)
Once you have your steam tonk, you will have to use it once to make it soulbound.
So what class is this exploit good for?
Well, upon cancelling the Steam tonk you will get a stun for 2 seconds. You can trinket out of it, but you could say that you
need a caster with a 3+ seconds spell to really profit from it. There are still other ways of abusing the little Tonk, as
getting glowy hands.
Now, let's get exploiting:
Exploit # 1
Run and cast
Choose a spell of your choice and insert it to this macro
/use Steam tonk controller
/cast Spell
Replace Spell with Pyroblast, a major heal or another long-time casting spell.
Click the macro once, wait for the two second stun to go away (or use a trinket to get rid of it) then run around as much as
you want.
Exploit # 2
Spam spells with shortened cast time
If you use the above exploit, you will notice you have no cast bar while casting.
This means we can begin on another spell, while loading your current.
Use the above macro, then repeatedly click on your desired spell.
Like: Macro + Pyroblast Pyroblast Pyroblast
This will contintue to fu** up your casting for as long as
you cast, and you can think of it as being able to have two cast bars at once, one of them invisible.
If I were to use this with Pyroblast, it would be acting like
1..2..3... *shoot Pyro*, 4..5..6...*shoot Pyro* 7..8..9.. etc etc
Meaning you basicly lower your cast time by half.
Exploit # 3
Casting spells under Crowd Control
As written above, when using the Macro you will have no cast bar. This means that you can not be interrupt either. And this
in turns, mean that your spell will complete it's cast even if you are stunned, feared or being cycloned. This means you can
use the macro and then jump into ice block, and the pyro will be launched anyway. Silence, line of sight and range still
applies though.
Exploit # 4
Chargin mah lazer
So, you can use this macro and not be interrupt in any way. What is a reasonable use for close combat?
Well, you see a enemy running towards you. Use the macro and trinket out of the stun. Go for a few instant spells, keep in
mind that your Pyro is loading so keep the enemy in front of you. Right in the fight, pew pew a instant pyro going at him and
he's like WTF. if you are Pom pyro spec you will be able to win over any class.
Exploit # 5
Glow
Enter desired spell with more then 3 seconds cast time into the macro. Trinket out of the stun and immediately begin to mount
up. Mounting up will prevent the spell from being casted, but will let the casting effect stay. You can use this with, for
example Hearthstone, for a sharp white glow, or Portal for a larger effect. You can stack up alot of spells to get mixed glows. The casting sound will also stay, you can remove
it by going into Sound and disabling sound, press OK and then go back to enable. This is server-side, so others will hear
your constant annoying sound. Zoning will remove the effect!
Exploit # 6
Multiple Transmutes
Create this macro
/use Steam Tonk Controller
/run local s for i=1,GetNumTradeSkills() do s=GetTradeSkillInfo(i) if (s=="Transmute: Primal Earth to Water") then DoTradeSkill(i) end end
/cast Medallion of the Horde
(or Insignia of Alliance)
Spam the macro while spam clicking on Create: Transmute button in Professions.
You will need all the needed materials.
Exploit # 7
Change Gryphon Taxi to desired mount
Go to a Gryphon master and open up the flight path map.
Create this macro
/use Steam Tonk controller
/cast (any spell you want, or hearthstone)
Immediately begin to mount, and then select a place to fly to.
You will fly away on the gryphon, recieve an error "You can not do that now" for the hearthstone/spell, then your mount will appear instead of the gryphon.

Capture AB flag in two seconds

/use mount
/use PvP-trinket
Start capping flag.
Steam Tonk Laws:
Aimed Shot works
You can cast resurrection / Mount / hearthstone in combat
You can use it to speed up casting of crafting/conjuring, but the materials will still be used
Basicly what it does is to give you a second, invisible, uninterruptable cast bar
