This is my first itemtype modded from 5017 itemtype with the Easter stuff added. It is working. Scroll down to see how to edit the itemtype yourself.

Composition and blessed items are generated when you pick them up. Therefore, there is no way to predict the items with modifying itemtype.dat.

I use DeEn and itemtype.dat editor v2 -beta. I will upload these files and if you need instructions on how to use the DeEn I will try to provide detailed instructions on how to use and how NOT to use this program. To decrypt uncheck "Check for encryption" to encrypt checkmark "Check for encryption". Only open the decrypted itemtype with notepad only. Don't use wordpad. Thanks.

i think you're trying to say how are quality itemtype.dats created? From what i know, these are 2 ways of doing it, 1 is to really write a program to do the sorting and renaming, 2 is to manually change everyline. Method 2 has a clever way and a stupid way to do. A clever way is to use MS Exel. This is something most people do. The stupid way is to use Notepad.

However it doesn't really matter now, since most people only update from a1blaster's files. So, no real difference between the clever/stupid methods, lol.

Personally, i took the 1st way of renaming the itemtype

I use notepad after I decrypt the new itemtype to copy paste the new stuff TQ has put on there to my old itemtype. I like old school methods. Keeps me on my toes.

lol, 3 people scanned the same file with the same results, its a god damn text file, how much harm can it do...
03/21/2008 21:18 yinyang23#14
First, if you notice only 2 people scanned the itemtype. I am not one of them. 2. Some people don't want to unzip a file or even look at it until it has been scanned, so give it a rest. 3. If you look at the double scan on my post it is for the programs that edit the itemtype and decrypt/encrypt them. I scanned both of them for everyone and anyone can scan them for themself if they want to and give +k if they like it and is virus free for them also.
So please read fully before you post.

What if someone editted the name of certain item? Eg, instead of naming it [S]Rainbow Gem, he named it [R]Rainbow Gem. How much harm can it do? This is why i never download itemtypes(except a1blaster's when i still don't know how to do it). Now i just do it myself, lol
