[Question] 0.0 secs pots delay...

this if from an official server

he did it by editing the item.edf but the file he posts was just a trial, only the 100pots have no delay ive tried it and it works


im trying to figure out how he did it...T_T no luck


just google EDF tools and DATedit i think he used this tools in doing this and a hex editor

anyone can help do this...so that everybody benefits from this ^_^

haha.. i got no delay pots too.. but its a bit funny.. all cooldown timers dissappear but skills still have cooldown but pots have 0 cooldown which is cool

Hmm Anyone have any idea how this works... i found the decoders and everthing got the hex editor on,,,, no idea where u change the values to change the delay of the pots

*EDIT* Hmm I was messeing around with it.. and was able to change the name of the pots.... Next CAST DELAY ... now where is that

tip ....
1. Open the original and the edf EDF file in htis "hack" ... decrypted via EDF tools.. on a hex editor (googled)
2. Look up The pot u want to change
3. look at the symbols between chosen pot and the following pot.... and figure out the place where the cast delay is

skill delays are serverside i guess...coz i've managed to change the delay to 0 but doesn't work...you can recast the skill but it has no effect T_T

thanks for the tips missroadkill, very nice, i had some fun trying out the different stats but mostly i got nowhere... tried changing purple abilites and although it says they have changed they haven't - managed to get it to say +500% hp on my shield :eek:

also tried removing the skill cooldown but although i can keep firing the skill without delay it doesn't do any damage just animates...

but i did manage to remove the pot cooldown (think i changed it to 0.2secs - good enough for me) :cool:
but failed completely trying to make adren pots more effective :(

anyway i don't play RF anymore but messing with the files is not something i'd recommend - i had no idea what i was doing and the decryptor was pretty unclear but if u make lots backups u'll be fine.... i hope :P



maybe someone else can confirm this method can actually change more then just recharge times? :confused:
