Another P.E.T.10 BUG (by DO ex-admin)

Hello everyone,

I don`t care who reads this, if it can be fixed or not, but here is a bug i discovered recently.

Underground BS stay away with your stupid close request.
I found it, it`s available to everyone !!!

How to:
- Set ship to invisible;
- set one config without lasers (yeah, i know.. ingame log msg will tell you that ammonition it`s over, or that there isn`t any gun)
- disable AROL-X, hellstorm launcher, anything that can take away your ship invisibility by fire.
- set PET10 active (Guard mode) and now find a NPC, Ubers would be just fine :)

Now, START shooting with your ship, no weapons at all, there shouldn`t be any efect from your ship.

Keep pressing ammo button (x1, x2..) until PET10 takes NPC shield/HP.
When it`s allmoust done, start shooting with your other config (full lasers), you`ll lose the stealth, but the kill will be given to you.

I know, it will take some time to kill an Uber with only 6 lasers (level 9 for PET needed), but your ship is free to navigate thru a 4-5 hostile map.

Also tested with Cubikon, where PET10 will fire on Cubikon and Protegits will not get out, remember your ship can be invisible until the last second of NPC, real shooting from your ship needs to be made in order to get rewarded, otherwise the kill will not be counted on your behalf.

i dont understand :D

staying in stealth while the pet kills the npc, but getting the kill is not a possibility? :)

ajaja I think better will be shoot to aliens normal (if you can circle them :))

Yeah, but I mentioned the 4-5 map.. a hostile map, where Saboteurs and other Pirates exists, and circle an Uber it`s not so funny.. don`t you think?

Hint: Take 10 players, with 10 PETs, now do some math and 10 x 6 = 60 lasers, one player will gain the Uber Kristallon for his mission, and that sort of Mission isn`t anymore Mission Imposible. :)

hmm u got right! but when PET is shooting the alien is moving and I need to fly after him? if no it is perfect :D if yes... I can use IBot to this ^^

Your ship is invisible to all NPC/Players, it will go arround like it does when no one is arround, so Yes, you`ll have to follow that NPC, but it`s not like is moving after someone.. usualy NPC are still, moving quite slow.

Hint: Need a Booster for free? Notice the following log (sorry, it`s romanian):

30.05.2011 - 20:03 Ai primit un Amplificator de hitpoints (1 oră/-e).
30.05.2011 - 19:56 Ai primit un Amplificator de hitpoints (1 oră/-e).
30.05.2011 - 19:02 Ai primit un Amplificator de onoare (1 oră/-e).

Those one hour boosters from small Ubers get`s yours even if you`re invisible, no Experience, no Honor.. only hourly boosters.

u get this boosters without shooting by your ship in the end, yes?

but when u get this boosters without EP isn't it dangerous? BP can find it... I wouldn't do this. there is a risk

Then just get your team players, kill Cubikons without any harassment from protegits. It also works without cloack, but Kristallin & Boss Kristallin will probably follow you.

This BUG is yet to be explored and tryed.
That`s why it`s your free choise how to use it.

I probably missed some smart usage of it, but as I understand how PET10 works, theyr lasers are real and damage they make is too.

Too much work and no benefits.
And Real Life can`t be lived with Uridium.
Also I was tired to defend BP commercial path for this game.
I understand BP commercial/marketing needs, but they forget over time that GAME equals to FUN.
