Question/Notice about Paypal

In a recent transaction I noted that using the 'gift' option still incurs a fee. I don't think the person receiving the gift is charged, but as the 'giver' I was. I'm not sure if I was at fault or if that's just new, so factor it into your Paypal purchases if it is new.

If it was me being dumb and not doing something specific, anybody have an idea what?

Pay pal to pay pal costs a fee its normal. The fee is abstracted from the sent money.

I'm using paypal too, its damn!

They've closed my account, because I exceeded my account over 2500€. Now I must verify me, if I'm a shop? o.O

And the Costs are to much! 100€ = ~3€
1000€ 15€

Regards dude

This is for legal concerns(against tax fraud and money laundering). As a verified merchant you can get lower fees.

Standard is 1,9% + 0,35 Euro and 3,9% + 0,35 Euro if it goes to someone in a country outside the EU.

2,5% extra fee if its a different currency.

With the fee you pay for the service(nothing is for free). But the withdrawal to your bank account is free.

Alright, so even doing it correctly (meaning, as 'gift') there would still be the fee. Good to know I'm not that dumb. :D
