Hey I am currently working on a game engine for school and I am having issues with mathematics that involve Large significant digits such as pi.

I know the biggest number of significant digits I can find would be either float or double which holds like 18 significant digits I believe if I am not mistaken.

Does anyone know if there is another type that holds more. perhaps 200-500 significant digits?

the closest I could find was this

But it is a paid product and only supports a trial period. Since this is only for education I want to avoid spending extra cash for school.

Any help or tips is more then welcome. THANKS

I think there is no standard type which holds such vast amounts of digits. You have to create an own class that represents your type. In this class you can save the digits for example in an array. Of course you have to implement methods which will provide basic arithmetic functions like addition, subtracting, multiplication, etc. Maybe it is not a perfect solution but you should be able to save 500 digits with your class.

Do you happen to know any documentation I can read to assist in this? Best I can find is string but it doesn't do any type of math so its hard to get a good grasp of it.

that and theres no good commenting.
