Old Client

Hey there,

I have recently started a new project and need some help.

Does anyone know how I could get hold of the old DarkOrbit client main.swf?

It is the main part of my new project, I have tried to find it myself, but to no avail. So if anyone has a copy of it they wouldn't mind sending over to me, or even a location as to where it is hosted on DarkOrbit's servers, it would be a great help!

why do you want to go back to old client? the new client has many new features

I am not looking to go back to the old client. I have recently got into game development and want to try and develop my own version of DarkOrbit. I would very much like to use the old style ships though, and the main.swf would contain the server locations for the older styled sprites.

It's a personal project, I have already started it with the sprites from the new client, I would just love to use the old ships. In my opinion they looked a lot better :)

Playing on official DarkOrbit servers, no.

Too many updates have happened for it too be usable.

What could be possible is if someone manages to mess around with the packets and change the newer "commands" into the older style, suitable for the old client. That would be incredibly time consuming and buggy though. Who knows.

Hello, yes I have it, but I extracted everything from it, but you can recompile it to spacemap.swf.

Just ask me if you still need it.
