anyone got details on stats and gems

Ok before some one flames me, let me just say that i've been playing over a year. And i'm just now trying to figure out what the heck a vio gem does. B/c quite frankly the only thing i find is that it +xx% of weapon exp. what the heck does that mean? i get more exp = to the exp of the weapon or weapon gets more exp for the skill and takes away from the exp of the kill?

So this led me to think on some more stuff for instance the following that came straight from the gameplay guide on CO2 website:

Strength: Determines attack damage. Weapons have strength requirements.
Agility: Determines attack accuracy. Weapons have agility requirements.
Vitality: Determines hit points. The higher it is, the tougher you are.
Spirit: Determines magic strength. The higher it is, the more powerful spells are.

the only stat I see changing with the increase of attribute points is vitality and spirit. what the heck does strength have to do with damage except that weapons require it? what does accuracy do? is that the range of attack damage that's listed on ur stats page? b/c i've never seen it change when i increase my agility stat attribute point.
i have about 225 str for my warrior but i've never seen damage stat go up when i increase the attribute points. So maybe i should reallocate my points. I don't know.
do some skills use strength as a damage like the dagger penetration? i still haven't figured that one out.

If some one has a detailed description, i'd appreciate it.

As far as I know, the Strength and Agility attributes are only for equipping gear... Like if you have a 130 tro, you need 176 strength to equip the blade/club/sword or whatever... but once its equipped it doesnt affect your attack damage.

I have a water-water lvl 110 who needed 170str to equipd his wand, then I re-allocated and it made no difference to the damage he did :p

And Violet Gem's increase how fast your weapon proficiency goes up. ;)

Exactly what vertigo said. All of your attribute points account for handling weapon levels.

Everything else has been said, and it was answered well.

Hiyoal :)

Thanks :p

Might I also add that once you have your gear equipped and you do not intend to remove it for a while, repair it all and re-allocate your points to Vitality (if you're a tro) that way you can take more hits :)

A violet gem will increase rate that the weapon's proficiency will lvl.

Increasing Vitality will increase your hp, increasing Spirit will increase your mana, and increasing strength wont help anything but let you wear higher lvl items. However, increasing your Agility will allow you to hit monsters or other more often. If you have no agility, you will barely ever hit the target unless a skill such as rage goes off, or if you're using a sword, which has a lot of dexterity, which is the same thing as agility. That's why smart rb's use swords a lot - because they can reallot their attribute points and take points out of agility, and put them into Vitality for more hp, and dual swords make up for the missing agility.
