Last Chaos MULTI (working 4 me)

Not sure exactly why a simple hexhack don't work (for me atleast) & I'm to bored of trying to find a working tut on how to brake err fix it to get more than one clients to do this elegantly or more aptly put properly. Any way here's my QDH on how to open 2 Last Chaos clients at the same time.

Firstly get a hex editor they are grate things. If you if you don't have one you can get one

it's not the best but it's free, as in ideology not cost. You SHOULD donate & support your OS dev's. (that's another thread though)

Next dupe your BIN dir under where you installed:
C:\AeriaGames\LastChaosUSA\Bin
NOTE: YOU MUST KEEP IT THE SAME LENGTH (or not be lazy and change the hex-val of the file length but I ant that good I'm just smart nuf to know about it)

what I did was made:
C:\AeriaGames\LastChaosUSA\ban
works grate :D and will probably happen if yer caught ;)

next dupe your LC.exe
C:\AeriaGames\LastChaosUSA\LC.exe
C:\AeriaGames\LastChaosUSA\LC2.EXE

next you want to open it up with your Hex Editor if yer smart & know yer offsets wander you'r self over to 00 04 22 D0 x 06-0A & change what you know you need to change :P

if your not go their any how & use this as a learning experience to learn how offsets work (the last numbers)

Hit CTR+SHIFT+G
enter: 00 04 22 D0 0A
type: a (the letter not this or type: just the letter A.. no wait a no caps ya just a... that's it..)

now hit ALT+F+S
now load lc.exe for reg play
and lc2.exe for when you wanta open a shop and play at the same time or swap yer drake to yer alt ;)

Hope it works for you and more importantly I hope you learned something.. maybe someone can write a tool for the ones that have not and get probably more BM-points than I ;)

do need all the spaces when we type in the stuff for the mad edit?

um if your looking for a simple dual logging, all you do is copy the launcher in your bin folder rename it with a 1 at the end (should look the same as when you copied the launcher but with a 1 at the end). Cut and paste outside the bin folder and then cut paste back into bin folder.

Once thats done, you create a new shortcut to the copy you made paste it onto your desktop. Go into properties, type in target ; "C:\Program Files\LastChaos\Bin\Nksp1.exe makegamenp

Nksp1 = the edit you made on the copy (the launcher is usually named nksp when lc is not messed with)

Once that is done, just use the nksp1 launcher for dual logging, do not use the one that has a start up launcher.. it will tell you that you already have an lc launched and wont work. You can use it as many times as you like but graphics can kill you if your computer cant handle running more then 2 games at once so be careful.

Also when lc goes threw maint you have to make sure to get the patch and then re-do all the info above again because the dual logged version will not have the new patch.

its pretty simple really, for vista users there is a few other steps involved, you need to get rid of the confirm or deny functions which involve restarting your computer in the end. This will get rid of alot of issues for you. Its in your control panel under user accounts click turn on/off user account control. Should you not be willing to get rid of this function just right click the shortcut to the dual logged version of lc and make it admin ever time you use it.
