new tq patch 1095 disables oem !!!!!!!!!!

i tried to run the game but then auto patch came up and updated to 1095 and then when i try to login i see the normal EO servers london, toronto, LA ........ !!!!! wat shud i do !??

yea thanks dragon i reinstalled and now using a patch that doesn't let the game autopatch. thanks for help

where do i get the patch that stops it from auto patching? lol

easiest ways around auto update 2 choices in general really since the client now errors if the version is set to 9999
1: Use login tool.
2: Create a shorcut to soul.exe adding blacknull at the end of the target

Those are the 2 only real options

wat we need is someone to find the area in the soul.exe that is overwriting the OEM file, im guessing within the soul.exe is the ip adress to connect to so find the section shouldnt be hard you search for the hex values of the tq ip adress and then you compare to the old soul.exe before the patch and remove that area leaving it blank, might have to do the same with gamedata.dll as i cant determine exactly wat one is overwriting but its either one or even both that are doing it and we need both those files for the castle and knight features, i would try myself but i dont have much exp in the field and not enough time to mess about either :| so hopefull someonelse will im sure they will be in for a few hundred thx lmao, oh and one big fuk from tq

tq deleted the part of soul.exe file that actually looks for and reads an oem.ini file so unless someone edits soul.exe and adds that back without messing it up. we need to find another way.

simply i put the login tool in the game directory and created a shortcut to it on desktop and i use it to login the game and it works like magic :)

tq also changed a lot in this new patches..
new itemtype,new shop.dat new routine to log in game etc etc
not at all compatible with our server yet..
the new soul.exe is needed for the new quests castle and knights etc so we have to work with fixing it..

all new files in /ani thats added is not compatible with our server as well

one workaround is to use the new client and edit the server.dat and use old gamesetup.ini

you can log in game but the client will be quite buggy :D

Problem solved kind of guys,I looked in the soul.exe file and searched oem I found they have changed oem.ini to oem.dat I didnt even bother editing the soul.exe I just suggest you change your oem.ini to oem.dat and you can connect easy :)

I login invisible and without acces to pets so if someonelse can finish the job and make it completely compatible so we can have knight status for our pets and build castles im sure thanks is going to be given :)

thats only half the job funhacker, you have to edit the Database itself in order for the castles to work as it is only half done

perhaps u should read the 2ND half of my post where it states exactly wat youve said

funhacker.. try to only use the new soul.exe and the dlls,, skip the itemtype and shop.dat
use the new inis and skip the /ani folder
