Sources being leaked..

Ok you guys, Stop selling your good sources to noobs that don't know how to code what-so-ever. It's the stupidest idea there is. They will leak it no matter what. You have no idea how many of your sources I have on my laptop that some people paid $400 for. I know Decker probably has gotten his hands on the sources too, as well as a lot of other people. Someday, the source will fall into the wrong hands because these noobs keep giving it to everyone excepting help and BOOM, it's leaked everywhere.

Code it in C++ and only sell the binaries if it means that much. Have a self destruct method in it too if it's really necessary to protect your work. Come on... brain power... activate...? STOP doing it and be smarter about who the hell you sell your sources to people...

They obviously don't care, if they can code a source, they should be able to see what will happen when they sell it.

Pointless post is pointless. People are aware of the risks when they do certain things.

I think if you bought the source, you should be able to do whatever you want with it.

I think it's sick. People with too much money buying shit that they have no idea how to use while people like me and a lot of other, hard working members have to slave for months working on our sources. Granted that ours will be better, but still- I just think that it's disgusting.

That I agree with. But at the end of the day, it's their source, they can do what they want with it; Although the source creator could have made a contract, saying the person who bought it, cannot release it. That would be pretty harsh.

Oh, I'm not saying that they don't have that right. I'm saying the people that sell the source should be more careful. Sometimes it's like they just ... lose a brain ... and then they come crying to me saying it's the person's fault for leaking it.

It depends under what conditions the source was sold under really, and if there was any form of license involved.

Honestly. If the person sold their source for 400 bucks they would tell them to release it...they just made money off of shit that will be outdated in weeks. Don't call people that sell source stupid or say they lost their brain because its either shit or they're making solid profit on it.

They don't want them to be released though. It's like they're smart one minute ... and then stupid the next, obsessed with money... and then they're smart again. The only reason why my server might succeed is because I'm not profiting from it and I'm not going to sell the source.

Best thing imo -> Licence. If the client violates his rights take legal actions against him. Since Co2 Server Emulators ARE NOT illegal you can take the help of law :)
