COFuture

I wanted to make this thread to ask this question:
Why does no one use COFuture? Has anybody ever even released any codes for it? I wasn't around the forum when it was released, so was it not a big hit like NewestCOServer? I think COFuture is a excellent source, and I'm planning on using it in the near future. Thanks for any answers.

It's not the best one released... that's why no one uses it anymore...

also if you would do a server with that version (it's something around 4341-4351) just get a better base and use the client crypto inside CoFuture source...

obs.: I don't said anything about being a bad source or anything like... just that there are better sources released, that you could use as a base.

anyway good luck!

If I upgraded it to a good working 5350+ source, it would be the new NewestCoServer.... It's just what patch everyone wants to have. Nobody uses it because not many people want a source that's running on such a low patch.

5017
I tried setting up 4348 version, just wanted to try it, although I had some problems with the accounts. Maybe it wasn't the accounts. It did get a connection though.

Which did you write? I really like the v5017, I'm most likely gonna start coding stuff into it. Gonna try to learn from it as well.

@Spirited
You should update it, I'd like to see how it turns out.

I rather not. lol
I would update NewestCoServer but I kinda want that to die. What if I updated CoEmu (when and if I have the time ever after Finals)?

That would be okay (Even though I despise CoEmu), I just wanna see how it turns out.

What's wrong with CoEmu? (It's not that great... but for a feature rich source it kicks lotf's ass).

CoEmu/Cofuture are... quite similar. The base differs somewhat but most of the actual design and syntax remains the same between them. Switching between them tends to be incredibly easy (I did a bunch of learning on the 42xx cofuture that korv worked on)

I wrote the 4348 version of CoFuture, which has 6106 downloads on this forum alone lol

Ah haha....... I really don't want to convert it while I work on my source (since there's a LOT left to do...) but after I'm done, or if I get bored, I guess I could. I personally don't like it because I cringe at things that aren't done correctly...

Meh. Idk. We could get a poll going if I ever get serous about it... which I probably won't. Upgrading isn't really fun... it's just replacing packets and handlers.
