Disable patching manually.

Most hack work only without patching.
So here's a little small trick to disable patching.

go to your metin folder and find this file "patch.cfg"

you will see this:

URL_MAIN: patch.metin-2.com URL_NEW: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] URL_IDPWD: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] NOTICE_ENABLE: 1

Change the value of NOTICE ENABLE: 1 to 0
so that it looks like NOTICE ENABLE: 0

Value 1=enabled.
Value 0=disabled.

Save the file.

If you like to enable patching again change the value back to 1.

Maybe for some of you hacks might work again as it will stop patching.

Dadurch, wird kein Patch mehr auf Metin2 installiert.

yes...that can also do the trick...

found another little trick..

if you want to join your favorite server without setting that in the character screen
find the file channel.inf in the metin folder

you will see a code like this 1 2 0 (or something similiar)

change the value "2" in either 1,2,3 or 4 depending which server you want to join.
the value 2 is the server value

change it to 3, and save it , and next time you start metin it will automaticly be set to server 3:)

mit editor also Editor->Öffnen->patch.cfg dann 1 zu 0 ändern und abspeichern geht leider nich-.-
gibts da ein prog zum beaarbeiten von cfgs oder wie?

MeisterXXA i don't understand a clue of what you are saying.

Right now im trying to look if there is a way to make a bot that will automaticly make you login and set the server and character all in one program.
then you hit OK, and the game will start itself by loading the map correctly.
Im still investigating it ,

evading the auto patch thing is already one of them:)

He wanted to know, how to open the .cfg file.

But you only have to click on the file and then press "open with" and choose the editor!

And now follow the instructions from the first post!
