The private server of rappelz

I played this game some while ago and i thought its impossible to create private server for it.
So i saw that "Age of rappelz" thing and i thinking is it some sort scam, viruses inside or it actualy works ?
And one more question : how many players plays it ?

It works fine, still bugs, boring, no virus, 100 ish players.
