4. Let's get started!
What do you have to do?
Please follow this guide step by step, not doing so will lead into direct failure of your online server.
Let's start off with installing Hamachi, which shouldn't cause any problems. As soon as you launched the program, do this:
1. Hit the Power button to get you connected.
2. Hit the second button, and create a new network:
- Network name:
YourSroEmulator -this is just an example, enter anything you want-
- Password:
12345 -this is just an example, enter anything you want-
3. If everything worked correctly, your screen should show an IP above your nickname, it'll look like this:
Memorize this "IP" (write it down or copy paste it in a .txt or whatever).
Now you've got your Hamachi set-up, you've got to go edit your hosts-file. Do this by going to:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
Open the file up with your favourite text editor and add in the following line:
Finally, aunch the prjVBEmu in Visual Basic 6 and do as shown in the guide:

There, our server's online. Now, we need to set-up our friend his computer so he can join your server!
What does your friend have to do?
Your friend has to start off just the same way as you did: installing Hamachi, which shouldn't cause any problems. As soon as he's launched the program, he has to do this:
1. Hit the Power button to get him connected.
2. Hit the second button, and click Join an existing network:
- Network Name:
in this case it's "YourSroEmulator" - this is the name of the network you made in your Hamachi window!
- Network Password:
in this case it's "12345" - this is the password of the network you made in your Hamachi window!
3. Hit the Join button and that's it! Your friend is now connected with your Hamachi network.
After doing this, your friend has to edit his hosts file. He can do this by going to:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts
All he's got to do is open up the file in his favourite text editor and add the following line:
Please note, these two IP's are the IP you have on your hamachi server! Make sure it's not a wrong one.
Finally, your friend can join up your server by launching the modified sro_client.
