Private Server FFXIFerrum

good news server now works with the new update just follow the instructions

have been running this server for a few months and have a very stead player base

Things you will need
Final Fantasy XI Installation including the expansions
Rise of the Zilart
Chains of Promathia
Treasures of Aht Urghan
Wings of the Goddess
Hamachi [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
These update files [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
7/11 update patch [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
FFXIBoot [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Steps:
1. Install Final Fantasy XI
2. Run Playonline and let it update, then close it
3. extract the contents of the updatepatch.zip file into your squareenix/final fantasy xi folder
4. Run PlayOnline,click for playonline members and make up the data to get passed this screen then ,on the left hand side click check files, where it says select playonline compatible software set it to final fantasy xi then click check files then select file repair,this could take a while
5. after thats done close POL then copy your squareenix/playonline/data folder to the squareenix/final fantasy xi folder
6.extract the 7-11-11_UPDATE_PATCH.7z into your final fantasy xi folder when it asks to overwrite say yes
7. extract the 2 files from ffxi-boot-2008.rar into your squareenix/final fantasy xi folder
8. edit the ffxi-boot.ini that you just put in your final fantasy xi folder change where it says 127.0.0.1 to 5.49.252.42 change the username and password to whatever you like, you can delete everything thats under the password line this is for altering ff settings which you should do in the ff config
9. install hamachi - click network and join an existing network for
server: if one is full goto the next one you only have to conect to one

FantasyXIFerrum30
or just goto the next number if thats full
password: ffxi
9. run ffxi-boot choose 1 to create a username and pass then 2 to login
10. create a character and enjoy

Info About server
its on 24/7 if something causes it to crash its set to auto restart
the experience rate is 5x retail the droprate is 3x, runspeed is 80
gm commands that work @zone @goto @release, new characters are given all key items and all spells

lol i say it runs 24/7 and the first night it goes down, sorry windows update restarted the server computer i turned that off :)

This server is running perfectly with no crashes (For me at least) and it is easy to get onto with no stress. However to warn window 7 users, if you experience difficulty, its only because it may be because POL isn't detecting "Final Fantasy" option for check files. I suggest you talk to "Nathalie" if you experience this problem. He/She was very nice to help me through it. It may have some bugs but what do you expect on a private server.

Overall come join and have fun! I'm sure you wont be disappointed, I'm not.

I cant enter, ffxiboot closes after open it

if your running windows 7 try compatibility mode windows xp service pack 1 and right click it and run as administrator

FantasyXIFerrum3 opened since 2 is getting full. since im the only galka on the server if you choose galka you get a free astral ring :D

I've installed pol, ffxi and the expansions in this order: roz, cop, toau, wotg.
I've opened pol and update it.
Copied the files and overwritten the originals.
Now i re-open pol as "4." said but I can't see any "check files" :(
Did something go wrong? :(

I had to log into pol with my pol id lol

hmmm having some problems with ffxi-boot <.<

I changed the the data to

#----- PXI Config -----

POLServer = 127.0.0.1
POLServerInternal = 1
FFXiServer = 5.49.252.42

Username =1
Password =1


Now when i try to connect he allways tell me
ERROR: POLCore_GetInitFunc

some know a sollution ?

Running win 7 64bit
Firewall is offline
And have run as admin
