I've I enchant a -5 item to my other item will it become -5?

No. U can make ur main item -5 with STG . And before thjat u must rb that item and make it -1 then 1 STG and it becomes -3 then 3 STG ant it will be -5 and if then u add 5 more STG then your main item will be -7
