What an idiot. The Website Does not depend of source version, it does of the source database, sql, flatfile, etc etc... And + There can be different sql databases, different flatfile databases...

He's correct though...

The only thing that determines what patch a server is running is the packets and the encryption...

The only thing that differs when it comes to website setups that deal with pservers is what data they are reading and how they do so (database type, table/column names, etc)

Unless your website communicates with your game server, so technically it COULD matter :P

Yes of course... but I've yet to see a SINGLE website posted on epvp past a basic shitty template and possibly minor php scripts, most of which don't even validate information.

But yes, it could make a difference but at that point you're already customizing it to the point of only working on 1 source/server.

It wouldn't be common sense to do that.

Why make a thing that will only work for one thing, when you can customize it to work on more? It's like making a car for only females.

Because if your combining your game server with your web server you're already putting enough work into it that you'd be making it work with ONLY YOUR SERVER.

You would simply not to something like that for a public release as it would be source dependent and require actual work/coding knowledge.

Both are something that very few people on epvp excel at.
