[Problem]connection error

My server is being hosted on a vps everyone can log in and play fine no problems but today one of the players couldnt log in it keep saying "Failed to connect to game server due to server maintenance or network congestion. plesae log in later." and yes only him all other players can log in fine well i made a maint and still same problem i thought it could be somthing like his ip is being blocked by the server but no he can connect the register page and server page stuff so that means it has nothing to do with the ip ... i checked his Oem and itis fine ... i just can`t find any error to fix to solve that issuse anyone got that before and know away to solve it ? please answer thank you

i hope someone will answer our problem. i have the same problem but even worse than you.

it can be because of serveral reasons

1) a firewall that is blocking , on server or on client (most common)
and can be fixed by disabling it or adding his ip (firewall includes but is not limited to computer , router , programs ... )
this get used mostly by websites to that like to BAN some persones , they just add your ip to his firewall and problem solved

2) least common , the datacenter that blocked a ip range because DDOS atks on the datacenter (o yes that happends .. ) but then you wont be able to send a ping to him and he wont be able to conect to you whatever you do (contact datacenter)

3) ISP , same as the datacenter , but then your ips that blocked the conection
the ISP got mainly a good reason to block certain ip's or country's and only thing to solve it is to contact your isp about it (like i have with certain sites )

for the rest there are no other options

Yeah as it showing on my first post i managed to find out the problem it was the mcafee firewall
