need help with winhex

Im pretty new at winhex, and although i understand which things to be edited from reading a lot of topics, theres just something i dont get that keeps me from actually doing anything. The winhex i have , which is 14.6 SR-1, showes me gibberish on the far right side where apperently, as far as a I can understand, is where a lot of the editing is done.

Contrary to the youtube tutorial, where it shows you simply numbers.

Is there something im missing or simply something im jsut not getting?

try to work with the search funktion in winhex. f.e. text search : items or AIKey or search for values or whatever

how can i edit anything if its not even the same thing? im working with this gibberish while apperently other people are working with numbers and commas O_o

but its possible that its like that for everyone i suppose so ill just mess with it some more to see if i get it.

However if i am actually missing something id appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction, and id also appreciate it if someone could tell me if thats how its supposed to look, and why the youtube tutorial looks the way it does.

you actually wanna now post the actual winhex here pls i cannot find any patches for winhex 14 and i cant seem to find the download to the older winhex's :mad:
