You can either do this by hex editing (offset: 3713E75C) or editing the .csv file (usa/share/maplist.csv). You'll see something that looks like this
This can be helpful for doing speed dungeon runs, out running mobs, getting to far reaches, etc.

Here's an example for avalon island:
