Botting on a different Computer.

If i bot using another computer and play with a clean computer with my main is this safer? or does TQ scan botters by IP?

When a player logs in, the client sends the computers MAC Address, and they will always have your IP because you're connected to their servers.

I would guess using a different computer would be safer.

but if you say that, does it even make a difference if I use two computers

Theoretically it should.

alright, let me get this straight, so their "anti-botting system" detects bots from computer to computer but not by IP address?

how to are you going to identify botter by ip?
if there are 50 players playing in 1 cafe, if 1 person bots, does it mean all other 49 bots too?

Actully if you are on the same router the odds are high that you have same external IP on bout computers meaning and knowing TQ, if they decide to bot jail all the characters they would end up bot jailing your mains on the other computer as well.

Just use [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and see if the IP addresses match, if they dos well, lets say the odds are better then to use at one computer but worse then using two separate networks.

But then agiain if they did such a thing towards IPs, they could litterly end up bot jailing half of the philippines players, if they actully got some.

ok now im confused

In all the years I've played, TQ never ban/botjail by IP, they only jail the account you were caught botting on.

The only time ip or mac address plays a role is when you commit serious 'crimes' ingame...

IE: abusing hacks such as a real money or level hack (they've existed many times) or something else that seriously damages the server.

The only other time they MIGHT bot jail involving ip is when you get botjailed they most likely check the other accounts logged from that ip for bot flags (and even that is doubtful... seems more likely it's a periodic scan that detects both botting clients, not based off ip)

As for the actual question of hiding your ip such as an external proxy (yay doubling your ping!), they would still have your mac address so they could determine the original computer used.

"The only time ip or mac address plays a role is when you commit serious 'crimes' ingame..."

as for regular bot users, hahaha dont worry guys TQ wouldn't waste their time tracking for your IP's and MAC. unless your one of Lamito's companions! hahaha

TQ will never find any serious botters since it wont even take any time to google and download a mac address changer. lol. And i dont think TQ can find Lamito either.
