Hi,

Maybe you've activated more networkcards.
How much of these are available on your server?
I think there is a conflict between two or more networkcards.
Please type "ifconfig" into your terminal and send us the output.

PS: i see you´re new here.
Please read the rules about "thread-pushing/doupleposts" and delete your last post.

Hi,

How did you setup the network?
I need to know the configurations/settings.
How much networkcards on each PC?
Please provide me exactly.

Well, I am a starter but:
I entered in "sysinstall" where i configured de0, at host i wrote ".localhost" and at domain "localhost", IPv4 Gateway is "192.168.0.1 which" is my router Default Gateway, at Name Server i wrote 192.168.0.1 same as IPv4 Gateway, at IPv4 Address i wrote "192.168.0.100" and at netmask "255.255.255.0". I made only this changes and of course i modified the Network Adapter. I have the same IP configuration with my other PC

Hi,

Ok, so what will your server be?
Just a server in a localhost/intranet, hamachi or a public server?
Checkout the "DHCP" option due setting up a (new) networkcard - on this way you will become a ip only for your pc.

It will be a public server which everyone must acces... where or how do i set "DHCP"?
Is there anyway you could eneter in my PC and configure the router?

Follow my options:

1. Type "sysinstall" in your terminal.
--
2. Select "configure"
--
3. Select "networking"
--
4. Select "interfaces"
--
5. Select the networkinterface on which will be the public ip
--
6. The server will ask between two options:

- First "Do you want to try IPv6 configuration of the interface?".
Now select "no".

Then the server ask for the right option - you must select this:

- "First "Do you want to try DHCP configuration of the interface?".

Select "yes" and all will be configured automaticly.

Well, you can connect to the "IPv4 Address".
Once you become "192.168.178.36" as Ipv4 Address, you can connect without problems to your ssh, sftp or mysql service on this ip.

I wish you could enter in my PC with this program [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]. It's very secure and you would do me a great service by doing this. :)
