i no that appserv is for php then wat is for html?
if u dont no wat im talking about just said at here. so i can explain to u or others.

Umm... appserver is for NEITHER.

appserver is simply a collection of free public tools combined into 1 package.

It contains things like apache (a web server which works for both php and html + other things obviously), mysql (for databases) and possibly a few other things.

Personally I'd use xampp over appserv but for mysql I use the full public up to date release of it from the mysql website.

Essentially. You install the program. Open navicat or your favorite sql program to execute the database backup and you're good to go.

As for the apache web server it's identical really, you just place any public files in the web folder vs www folder lol
