"Secret" Quests

Secret or hidden quests start with the drops of a specific quest item from a mob (Poema Mandolin from Julia Dillun and so on).

That item is the "QuestItem" field of the mob (the field stores the value 1000 + TypeID of item chosen in set 28).
But where the drop rate of that item is defined ??

I am not sure what you are asking, but if a mob drops that item, the drop rate should be defined in the PS_Gamedefs.dbo.MobItems table.

What is the IDs of that item?

I'm asking: does a field (present somewhere) defines the drop rate of the optional quest item present in column "QuestItemID" of the dbo.Mobs table ?

not sure what is "that" but for the Mandolin (Item 28-49), the "QuestItemID" column of the mob 2299 ("Julia Dillun") contains 1049. and (again) the question is related to that drop, not to the 9 listed in dbo.MobItems.

The drop rate might be hard coded as zargon said, all quest item might all be defined at a predetermined drop rate, not too sure on this. Interesting though, it would be useful to know.

quest items are define in npcquest.sdata dont ask where.....

to change the drop rate i used normal drop and put the 28 49 in julia

but iam very interest in !!!! how to change quest drops! looking for !

yep, that's an idea.
and it's a begin of explanation to the fact that some servers (a few of them, but I've done all dread quests on at least 12 p-svrs) have better drop rates than other.

If you put the Quest items in Mobdrops table then where is that check which ensures that the required condition is met before the item should be dropped for a particular players?

type 27 and 28 are the item quest.. and the "Quality" is the rate drop for this itens.. if u put (item 28 49) the quality 5.. to 100, julia will drop allways the item..

i want ask if someone know how to make a custom item quest... when click it.. pop a windows quest.. so far i donta found nothing.. maybe questchain?
