It would work.
Someone from zhyk.ru downloaded the Client when it was still working, and decompiled it... But as already 4PRU (i dont know his name exactly ;) ) said, the old client would now have too many bugs, because it cant show the new updates like EMP or the new Mines.

I have managed last year in september to play on the old client with the UDOOCL provided by tvirusx1, but for that i had to install mozzilla 2.0
I haven't tried since then, but if you find UDOOCL then it's worth to give it a try.

The old client was on the server for a short time. That was possible to play with it after the new client (because of the launcher tvirusx1 made).
Now the old client is deleted from the server. I have it on my computer. But you'll never be able to see the new stuffs.
