Random DC

Hey.

With days and days of banging my head in the wall trying to figure this out, you are my final help.

So, I have this source running on latest patch, where most (or all) packets are up-to-date etc.

Yet, I'm getting a random disconnection, somewhere between 20-40 minutes from when the player is logged in. This DC happen whether you stay AFK or active.

The cryptograph and sockets are fine, I tried and compared a few, so my thoughts goes to the packet handling..

I logged all packets before the DC, and what's wierd is that Time packet (1033) is being sent a few minutes before the DC (not a coincidence, 3/3 times this happened).

So, any thought of what could possibly be wrong? All answers are appreciated!

The npc isn't doing an if check when you're buying from shops.

Try using my client at [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] and let me know if the disconnects stop. They should.

What exactly have you done to the client? I'm not getting pass the auth stage as it complains about not being able to read the password. I've tried all the three you uploaded.

Weird. Try this one. If that still doesn't work, I have no idea...

It doesn't work because on the latest patch (with new skills added) the auth info packet has it's ID changed to 1060 (if you do go on latest patch, make sure you don't have extra offsets in the entity spawn packet otherwise other entities won't show on your screen).

Yeah, this is why it's not working with the client I've uploaded; his client is 5370.

@Emme - Update to 5377 and use my client... disconnects should stop.

"So, I have this source running on latest patch, where most (or all) packets are up-to-date etc."

If he's running a current patch source, he wouldn't even eb able to connect to a 5070.

It's not like we really want to, just to make sure we don't understand wrong we 'criticize' anyone's post.

Thanks for the replies. The wierd thing about it though, is that the client disconnects randomly, again, and I don't even need the CO window focused. At first I was thinking socket error, unstable sockets etc, but after changing those and with the same error it can't be it.

Think it can be more of a client issue?

Thanks!
