Go to C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\host (open with notepad)

Original look like this:

# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

*Delete those the whole line below 127.0.0.1 localhost.
*Then save it.
*Run 2moons now, should be no problem.

Just remember each time you bypass gg, there will be adding some acclaim address. If 2moons game have new patch, u have to remove the line that i told in previous post then only can patch to the latest patch.

Sorry to jump this thread. i have the same problem jeti has, i.e gameguard isint connecting to the patch server. but in my case the hosts file is unmodified and my firewall is disabled.
but gameguard still refuses to connect and gives me this error "GameGuard Error: 380".
reinstalling 2 moons doesnt seem to help and ive even tried replacing the contents of the gameguard folder and the gameguard.des file with one from my friend.

ive been trying to get it to work for around 24 hours now and still no luck.

if anyone else is facing the same problem and or knows how to fix it , please let me know.

hm i dont know but this is from the 2moons forum

Error 380 - This is indicating that either there is a problem with your internet connection, security software on your PC is blocking NProtect from accessing its patch server, or the NProtect patch server is temporarily down. You may wish to wait a while and try again, and verify your firewall settings, as well.

You can also enable nprotect\maplestory through the firewall.
If you are using a Router. Configure it to let 2moons through.

Usually, you computer may not have the problems of wad the different error says. Cause it's may sometimes be due to us using hacks therefore Gameguard may have errors. So best is not hack. But everyone knows that's impossible! =P
