[Release] Very first Self code

03/20/2011 04:22 shadow8994#1
I made this by my self and I'm proud because I don't know a thing about C# or coding in general, but I'm learning... I admit I tried to look up a tutorial for this but I failed at finding one so I just did it my self and it worked, I wont even ask for thumbs up because it's not worth anything, but a big congrats would be appreciated =)

Code:
                     #region /clearpkp
                        if (Cmd[0] == "/clearpkp")
                            GC.MyChar.PKPoints = 0;
#endregion

Trying is the best thing you can do. I give anyone props for trying to do anything. You may not know much about c# but your trying and that is what counts. Do your best and try is the only thing a person can ask for. If you are willing to learn and are willing to put forth the effort you will succeed and it will pay off. Wisdom from InFlamedCOD.

Thanks for all the great comments =) Right now I'm working on a Quest, but I need a bit of help it's just a quest that teleports you to some Powerful monster and you kill it for rewards =) Help would be appreciated.

look at other npc scripts from the source that's how i normally learn how to code npcs cause each source is a bit different

Well one easy way would be to have a NPC that ask you would you like to try to kill the [monster's name here] and have great chances of great rewards. Then if they click yes under that portion of your code have it teleport the player to the map where you spawned the monster.

How about this mate,
if (Cmd[0] == "/pkp")
GC.MyChar.PKPoints = ushort.Parse(Cmd[1]);

ushort.Parse basically detects if that string is a number, and converts it to a ushort.
So your characters pkpoints will be whatever value you set Cmd[1] to.
EI /pkp 52 will set your pkpoints to 52.
