connecting mysql to another Database

me and my friend are wanting to make our on dekaron private server and was wondering how would we connect out mysql databases together so both of us can work on the server files instead of just one of us

This game doesn't use MySQL, unless you're using a custom emulation for dekaron servers that uses MySQL.

my friend is using VMware as an emulator for the server and i want to use mysql to connect to his database to help with editing files and such

dude he is talkin bout he wants to join someone elses ps as a DEV and needs to know how he can do stuff to the server like the main host can

He's clearly still talking about Dekaron, which doesn't involve MySQL at all. (It uses MSSQL)

You can connect to his database, as long as his port 1433 is opened, and then you can access it directly by connecting to his IP as hostname, and putting in the SQL auth.

Also you'd have to make sure you have privileges to connect, normally by default it will allow you to connect straight away, if not you'd need to activate it... Can't seem to remember where...

ok im sorry you are right i just glanced at his mssql and did not see he had written mysql(stupid on his part^^)thats my fault.

the biggest problem why we cant use MySQL is that MySQL doesn't support and communication with .EXE and SP.

ACTUALLY THT, it is possible.... Using ODBC connections in the control panel, it should be very possible to 'trick' dkserver.exe to thinking its connecting to a MSSQL database, while in reality it is connecting to a MySQL. Mysql DOES support stored procedures, just no one has taken the time to rewrite all the ones in the dekaron databases into mysql code.

NOW! Back to the original question, you can either host the server on a dedicated server, and give login information to both of you. Or, have him run his computer 24/7 with port 1433 open and create a remote account on YOUR machine in Query Manager, with HIS IP address and database name in the form of "123.123.123.123\\MSSQL-SERVER" with the proper login credentials. Then you will be able to run remote queries and stuff from your machine.

well ty for the reply m8, as for other questions kinda i was wondering how you make it to were you can wear multiple rings like Caligos, Zevech, and Dark eye at the same time??

Try itemetc.csv I believe, there should be a column, someone please correct me if I am wrong.
