hey,

since ive formated my pc, i cant play sro anymore..

when i install it, the launcher closes immediately, so i cant even update.. :/

if i get the sro from my friend (fully updated), the same.. if i start it with loader, hackshield stucks at 3rd loading point and nothing happens again..

my system:

4x 2,66 ghz (intel q9400)
4gb DDR2
gainward GTX460 GLH
XP 64bit
:/

To me it sounds like either your anti-virus or firewall is blocking the connection to the silkroad servers.

Try adding the sro servers to your hosts file.

Disable your Firewall, add the hosts to the host files, and if that doesnt work try using edxloader or any of the other ones avaible out there

firewall is off, antivir too ;x

i added
"121.128.133.26 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.27 gwgt1.joymax.com
121.128.133.28 gwgt1.joymax.com"
to my hosts.. But the strange thing is:
In edx-loader the ip's are 127.0.0.1 and port 16000 .. wtf???

still cant start -_-

after starting silkroad.exe it disappears directly from taskmanager..
can't be a virus! ive it since i installed windows clean :(

delete the host files from the host.blabla then delete sro, and do a clean reinstall.
Also, update flash and your microsoft library files.

Your system should be able to handle Win7 easily, i would suggest you to change to Win7 64bit .. at least you could do a partition for Win7 and some proggies .. and try Silkroad there again. Beside .. why do you stick to XP anyway?!
