Editing Server Files. [You post.]

This is just a thread for everyone to put their edited files in. Or you can put TUT's on different things to edit.

For example. If someone wants to obtain an edited shopset.csv put one up for them. xD or if they want an edited monster.csv put one up for them.

The other option is what i do. I copy the file from the vm and paste on my desktop then open it in excel. MAKES THINGS SO MUCH EASIER TO FIND!!!!

well, altho its the thought that counts, ppl dont like to share their edited files, cus for some odd reason ppl in the DK community dont like giving credit where its due, its over run by leechers who always claim its of their own work, which causes the ppl who actually know what they are doing not to share with ppl.

plus, when ppl are 'sharing' they are actually 'releasing' and start new threads that will say [RELEASE] so even tho i respect the effort, i am afraid its in vain, and was a waste of ur time . . . .

I have to agree with all of you.

however, may I set out this challenge.
1: in all opening dds << (when client is launched) there be Credits posted to those that have edits in that particular Server.

2: If you used a particular Servers files (whether or not) that Server is open or it's a closed Server, that you add the name of that Server to the credits. We all know that
this goes on, if not clones just a little edit here or there.

There are a lot of very good ideas out there in the Dekaron Pservers and people see them and outright copy them or change a little here or there. I for one think that people here would be more apt to share their ideas if they got the PROPER credit, Aloken not being one of them Of Course.

So there it is, not much just proper and professional courtesy can go a long ways.
And by the way gamefreak907 a little spark like your posting this could always go some where, so lets hope that it's not in "vain" and you get something started here ^_^

You may want to start by searching for what is already posted in Epvpers and list the
kinds of things it would be nice to have tuts on.

Well thanks [GM]Death. xD I have been searching for something that explains how to edit starting stats in dekaron action 6 private server. The closest thing i found was this.

-However this did not work for me as i cannot find the [DEV] Characters. I copy and paste it into excel but it was in vain as i was told they didn't exist.

If the file was named something else in Action 6 plz let me know.

Thats the best i could find. So far anyways. It seems pretty easy despite some of the bigger things that seem confusing thats what my boces friends are for xD. If i cant figure it out they can.

I would like to obtain a shopset.csv that has an edited Axion in Lao or wherever that has him having wings, argates, num-maverics for sale. As i don't quite understand what to do here. I haven't found a descriptive enough tutorial ect... and my friends as boces need more information that i cannot obtain...

I like to learn new things and this is fun but man is it complicated!

I don't quite understand why people just cant be respectful and give the credits to the people that put the effort to make something for people...

Why try and steal it? I don't understand...

I mean once you have "stolen" something from someone else you get good respect from people and as soon as they find out or your discovered all of the respect you gained from people goes to shits and what not.... People dont trust you anymore ect....

I just wish people could be of good nature give the credit to those who spent their time making something....

When people do the stealing stuff and make people not post anything up it makes it impossible for noobs (like me) to make private servers or other things....

Isn't the easiest way to learn how to make a private server is to look at one that was pre-made by someone else to see what they did?

I mean thats how im learning.

Im looking at silkbotters [RELEASE] of the VM (virtual machine) and looking at what he has done and im looking at some videos on youtube to get into the nitty gritty of some things.

Sadly i've yet to figure out the sho editing thing or how to add new things in so far as im still in the editing stage and am working on how i can test my server (well silk's server) before i put it on our server at boces to test there.

I plan to make my own from scratch but there is so much more i need to learn before i even start that process....

We are learning a lot from just this and a few other projects we have.

the names doesn't matters at all... make sure to check if you have these codes at character_no column:
or check if you have these values at user_no column:

for each class.

Ok. I found them. But i was missing one. The knight... He is completely gone.... I tried to edit another character into being the [DEV] but idk if it worked...

Well i have been searching for over 5 hours now on how to edit the items an npc sells in its shop and have yet to find the information...

I found some files but im not quite sure what to do when i have them open...

u need Shopset.csv, npc.csv, and itemect.csv. Am i correct?

If i am what do i do to find the npc i want. Say Pablo's where would i find him or how would i find him?

Then how would i add an argate into his shop?

I know this seems like a noob question but i have yet to find a tutorial that will tell me what im looking for....

you find his id in itemshop.csv and edit the id of the item you want to change

ok. But what would be his id?

Would his id be under 39811.69797 when you open the npc.csv in excel or is it under name?

Once i find him in the itemshop.csv file how do i know what im editing?
