need help with LoopBack adapter

i helpd my friend to install adapter and did everyting right and even chekd like 5 times in guides and everyting whas right and excecly like i did and like in guide....but dunno why at the finish of the install he cant find an LoopBack adapter in the network connections -.-......he looked everywere and ran a search on it all over comp and noting....and he repet the install somting like 8 times and still noting showd up -.-......somone has an idea whats wrong?

mabey this help you might of installed wrong thing


1. go to control panel

2. double click Add Hardware

3. click next

4. select Install Hardwar Manually ect...

5. scroll down select network adapters click next

6. in box on left select Microsoft then in right box select Microsoft Loopback Adapter

7. next next

8. Now back to control panel find Network and sharing double clcik it on left side it says manage
connections click that you should see a new local connection under it it says microsoft loopback adapter
right click it properties click internet protecal Version4 TCP /ipV4 (<--- different if its xp thats for vista) now click properties
now click use the following ip and put

IP's: 60.169.2.206

subnet255.0.0.0

dude i know how to -.- dident you read what i say? my friend DID all that BUT he dident find the loopback adapter in the network connections...it dident appear

i thought it may have been my wireless network but i dunno.

do you have a wireless connection?
mabye thats our problem....

no his internet is wire normal like mine and still he has noting -.- dunno why i got it from first try but he made like 15 trys and noting =\

hm you using Windows xp???you have windows service pack 2 ??? try to make a update for winodws..dont know anything else..

noooo not really the solution.. windows xp always updates itself so theirs no need to go look for any... i highly dought thats our problem here....
