tell me if im right if u can change the lvl req on a weapon and drop it low enough to lets say lvl 1 whont u get a higher chance of it not failing when +7
11/29/2007 02:03 theonlylok1#2
lol no, useing a UCE to change the lvl req of an item will not increase ur chances of, it going +
11/29/2007 03:07 youngrasta#3
so the lvl of a weapon does not matter when you + it because i would think it would be easier to +7 a lvl 1 weapon that to +7 a 105 weapon

hm i actually read somewhere that success rate on a lower lvl equipment is higher success rate then a high equipment when argating, and that the success rates of argates that u see being posted around are actually based on equipment for 5x.

upgrading function is percentaged based so the level requirement has no influence on success

II. Success Rates and Costs

**The success rates are not exact, they are really close test results**

Thanks to Xelse on the more exact rates,
these are the weapon success rates, and the armor rates are roughly 5% more on each upgrade.

NOTE: A little bit of info from korean player of dekaron told me that, the higher armor/weapon level, the less % chance you have to succeed.
So these percents below are tested around level 50 equipment.
+1 = 90% (10,000 dil)
+2 = 80% (20,000 dil)
+3 = 70% (40,000 dil)
+4 = 55% (80,000 dil)
+5 = 40% (200,000 dil)
+6 = 25% (400,000 - 600,000 dil )
+7 = 15% (800,000 - 1,000,000 dil)
+8 = 10% (1,000,000 - 1,500,000 dil)
+9 = 5% (1,500,000 - 2,000,000 dil)

**I dont remember the exact costs, but the cost for weapon is much higher then the armor, i will update later with the exact costs**
a post on the main forums by someone, not sure how accurate this is, but according to his sources in dekaron the lvl does affect it as he mentions that "the higher armor/weapon level, the less % chance you have to succeed. So these percents below are tested around level 50 equipment. "

I think u r right at lower lvl u have higher chance of + the item. I have made l1 legend +5 and l3 couldnt get it to + 4 in 6 tries.

u can change it and equip it, however, game will recognise it as if ur not using any wep at all, so its useless..
11/29/2007 15:06 lolpol#12

i changed in data.pak info for a lvl78 weap (changed 78 value to 00) and its now seen like the fist n00b weap i tried to refine a socket and heres what i got

refining lvl 78 weap costs 580k and its bout 30% success, mine edited one was 10k price and 60% but when i try to fortify here goes the server info and i got info of insuficient dil (i had less than 580k in inv) but there is also info about failed upgrade (with no consequences offcourse). but i wonder if failure upg info is client or server
In some games there is burning method of upgrading: it means every failed upgrade raises the chance of successing the next try
