Making My Server NON Hamachi

02/21/2011 18:16 kyle191#1
Hello, I've spent days researching how to make my server non hamachi. I have followed tutorials and port forwarded, made static/reserve IP all in my Router settings. This is how far I got, my girlfriend could connect to my server but I couldn't. My router does support NAT as im aware. I input my External IP address in the client server.dat and in my database config files. Why can I not log? Would be much appreciated if someone has the answer im looking for.

My router is Sky Netgear DG934G Router

Thanks.

With what kind of IP did you connected?
Your local IP or the ip that says here : [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]
Did you check if the port was open or not? you could check it here: [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

Solution:

Make a client with the ip adress Rar it then make your own ip to 127.0.0.1
Then your other players could connect and you could to

My external IP connect the one which is "whatsmyip.org"
Ive even tried putting my local ip in client server.dat and that doesnt work.
I did something once that allowed me to login but not other friiends. I was messing around with the IPs in my OldCODB, navicat (db) and client.
I have port forwarded the ports on my router, they say they are open

I did port check and it refused all of the apart from 80, this is so odd. Does this make sense to you?

I tried it, doesn't seem to have an effect, although in my router it does have a Dynamic DNS page. So I put in my Host User and Password also selected wildcard and checked the status which was successful. BUT I can't login to my private server. My friends can but I can't.

Is your NAT routing turned on?

My wouter does not accept NAT routing but yours does and if it set to strict you may find it difficult to login to your server.

Set the NAT routing to open and try that, post results after please

Ok I've took print screens of pages I'm not really sure about in the Router.
The attached files are all the major places that I don't really understand in my router.
Thanks

There is nothing here about your NAT routing, please google your routers make (a manual for it) and then find your NAT routing page, then post a screenshot of it here

I can't find anything about a NAT routing page, people keep referring to the DMZ page that helps them have a open NAT on their Xbox.
