[Leveling Orbs]

02/20/2011 03:35 -Mac-#1

Since Syst3m_W1z4rd's source had no exp balls, I wouldn't try to add the exp ball calculations since.. well.. I don't know how to.

Anyway, so I remembered that Dylan[WriteLove] made something called a leveling orb instead.

Basically, the concept is, u use a leveling orb and get some levels.

So, making them phases.. phase 1=1 levels/phase 2=3 levels/phase 3=5 levels.

So far I've only made the .dds work.

Now, can you tell me, which ini files do I need to edit to make them appear in game?

If anyone helps me I'll release them later :]

to make them appear, use ItemMinIcon.ani and MapItemIcon.ani

[COLOR="Purple"]11=c3/effect/Test/1.ddsZomg what a revelation.

Uhm.. and how do I make those o.o?

are u new in making items? In order to makesuch simple item to game, u need to add it to itemtype.dat only.

Yes I am,
but my point is, even if I added it in the items.txt and itemtype.dat only.
It wouldn't appear in game!

You need .dds files for the ground images as well as inventory images.

.dbc edits are only needed for equipable items.

Just looking at a client right now I think it's

Data>ItemMinIcon>ItemID.dds

Data>MapItemIcon>ItemID.dds

simple stuff <_<

I already got those, and edited those.. so basically you're saying after editing those and putting the edited ones in the client, all I have to do is just the server side work?
02/21/2011 06:00 Infictus#10
Yeh, client part is extremly easy actually

If that's the deal, then he needs to add the itemminicon and mapitemicon.
