Just follow the instructions

It does not say copy the guides.rar. It states to extract them to the RXP folder.

I have no idea why people are copying the archive to the folder.

I guess extracting from 7zip is what is confusing me. when I extract using 7zip to the rxp/addon nothing seems to show up



when I have a compressed folder that says rxp.zip, I right click, go down to 7zip drop down and hit Extract Files


do i need to hit Extract Here instead?

If you extract to that location and overwrite, it would add the files.

I guess I'm confused with 7zip.

In Downloads, when I have a compressed rxp.zip file, I right click and scroll down to the 7zip drop down and hit Extract Files. should I be hitting Extract Here?

ok 2 things

You go to the link, select the file, and download. You download a guides.rar and extract it with 7zip to the RXP folder and overwrite.

Why are you going to the link, downloading the whole directory for 1 file. So it puts the guides file in another .zip

I'm just downloading whats on the link. when I click the link from the first page of this thread it takes me to the Download.ru page. I download link and in my downloads it has a compressed folder that says rxp.zip. Inside that folder is a Guides.rar

This where I believe I am getting confused. Where do I go from here? I am not a very computer savvy person so my apologies

@[Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...], you go to the link select the file, and download. The link is a directory, so clicking download, just downloads the directory.

Select what you want (the guides) and then download the file only.

If that directory had 50 files in it, people would still download all 50 files.
The whole point of the directory is that you click what you want and download it.

Where do you go from there?

Well as I said earlier, you go to the link, click the file, and download.
Seeing you want the file
I do not tell people to go to the link and just download a whole directory.

Example [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...] is a directory and people still download the whole thing. Instead of going to the folder they need, select the files and download them.

So seeing it is a mixed install now, delete the addon and the savedvariables and start again.

Ok I did not realize it was a full directory. I tried again and downloaded just the Guides.rar.

using 7zip I find the Guides.rar file and hit Extract Here to the RXP folder within Interface/AddOns

Still nothing has changed or been added to the RXP folder. Im probably just misunderstanding something. Thank you for your help, probably just going to move on for now
