Yea so what about me that provide the files and people complain.
What about me that people want want want and I get paid nothing, what about me.

The main issue is, people refuse to say what the actual issue is, how they installed it etc and then wonder why I am guessing a solution.

But on the positive side 16 months of 1 issue and not one person ever said a thing. Took the file and said nothing.
1 person said, there is this issue. I saw said issue and I fixed said issue. Solved.

But when I tell people copy file in to and overwrite, they delete the folder and wonder why the folder is not there.

But post and post and post and have me guessing what the issue is?

I give an example

If you deleted the addons and wtf folder.
Run the game
Installed the addon from the curse client
/reload
Downloaded the guides, extracted them to RXP/addons folder, and overwritten unlike someone else who deleted the folder and wondered why the guides do not show up.
/reload

I say that for the reason, when you reload it shows the addon if enabled right.
When you reload, it would show the guides you added.

But people follow that and it does not work and why? They intentionally put the file in the wrong folder and them complained for hours it would not show up. Then harassed, insulted and demanded I somehow made the addon not work. So that means I would have to access their PC and modify it. No idea how that would happen.

As I said:
Overwriting the file doesn't help. The error is still there. And nothing is loading in.

I only deleted everything and tried again, after it didn't work the first time.
The 'Guides' was making another 'Guides' folder INSIDE the original 'Guides' folder somehow, and didn't want to replace the original. This happened again and again.
So I ended up deleting the addon, re-downloading it and starting again.
You mentioned something about deleting saved variables in a previous post, so I tried that, but that didn't work either.
Still no guides, still only errors.
I have restarted the game completely, re-downloaded the Guides from the link provided, and overwritten the current 'Guides' in there - and STILL, there is nothing loading and the errors are still there.

I'm not sure what else I can do or what exactly I am doing wrong now. Because as far as everything is explained, I am doing exactly what it says to do.

So why does it show that the free guides are completely removed?

Ok the Guides file, if you extract the folder it is Guides folder
If you extract Guides to Guides folder as you have done. It would show guides inside the guides folder. I never said to do that, so why do that?

Well I mentioned to delete the addons and WTF folder and in that post you never said that.

If people run the game
Install the addon from curseforge
/reload
Add the guides
/reload
The guides show up.

It works for everyone else, except some people that have issues and extract the guides folder to a guides folder.

Well that somehow is when you download a guides rile, then instead of extracting to a location or extract here. So it would extract a folder.

They instead extract the guides, make a folder, and then put the guides inside a folder called guides.

Then they come along and make a post all about it, when they were the one that did it.

No issues that you say there’s a problem.

But I ask one thing.

How is anyone to know whether the issue is if you choose not to say.

using curseforge right click it and delete settings (saved variables)
copy the folder from inside the zip into the restedxp folder >addons > interface folder.
and overwrite the 3 files when windows asks you to, Should work perfect.

I have said the same for the past 2 years. But people refuse to and want to keep it for some reason.

Let me guess... You're using winrar and telling it to "extract to Guides\" which creates a new folder with the zip file name AND THEN extracts the content into the folder lmfao

Let me point out, in the free addon it clearly shows

So if you look for the guides, the Devs removed them. Probably because it is not fast enough to level through.
