Me and a couple of friends tried to play on this server yesterday. But unfortunately it was nearly impossible due to constant delays and lag. Is this something common or was it probably just a one time thing?

the game never lags, this little thing will probably be fixed, so you are welcome. this server is the most popular sro server, active support and gms. no events, because as they say, its not an event road. updates will hopefully come.

So I have been playing for almost a month. This is my 2cents on the server so far:

Getting to level 105 is fun. You try to get free plvl as much as possible, there's actually a lot of free plvl nowadays, it should take you at most two weeks to get to 105. If you go with only 2 masteries, you can probably get cap level faster, low gaps with FF 95ish.

So, IMHO, grinding is a 9/10. It could be a little slower but, most importantly, low level mobs should drop more gold/equipment to make you less of a homeless on 10D/lvl90+.

The map. The map here is edited. There is Samarkand and Constantinople, but the mobs there are not low level. In the Constantinople area you will find the Jangan Cave mobs (lvl 86+), great place for plvl. In Samarkand are the end-game mobs, where you can drop your 11D gear. Mobs range from lv98~105. And I hate this.

I really wish Jangan Cave wasn't removed. I love how JG Cave gives Jangan a meaning, and, more importantly, gives Jangan FW some gold. I guess they really wanted to edit Constantinople/Samarkand, so they did it.

There is Alexandria on the map but you can't get there. I also don't get it why they removed it and moved the mobs to Samarkand, also disabling the option to get the Chief General title(3rd title, not sure if Chief or Senior). I'd rather have Sama+Const completely removed instead of JG Cave+Alex. There are no EUs anyway. Go figure.

The GM Events and Automatic events. There are almost no GM events whatsoever. During Christmas there were a few GM Events and it was really nice, but that was it. CTF is the only automatic event and almost no one participates. Maybe because there are no rewards.

The end-game. This is the biggest complaint I have. When I joined the server, I read Play2Win and I figured I'd have to play to get phat. Unfortunately, by Play2Win, they meant Bot2Win or, maybe, GoldBot2Win, or even, Pay2Win. Yes, unfortunately the server is Pay2Win if you want to drop some cash here. There are about 5 huge gold sellers in-game, which probably have a dozen gold bots on 24/7, and sell gold via PayPal. That's the cheapest way to get rich, which means good gear. You can also donate and sell Silk for gold but it's more expensive.


So, if you have reached the end-game, you have a few options to get better gear and enjoy the PvP:
1st - bot and hope for a lucky SoS drop to get the gold flowing;
2nd - Alchemy for profit, however alchemy is hard if you don't have Premium + Lucky Avatar (this is not a complaint, it should be hard);
3rd - Jobbing. If you can find a group of people, you can make some money by trading or thieving, however, not many people do it, the server probably consists of 80% bots, 10% stalls and 10% active people, but, among those active, most of them are PvP, Alchemy or Unique Hunting. I can't really say if you can make a lot of gold with Jobbing because I never see anyone doing it.

And that's pretty much about it. No Job Cave, no reason to kill Uniques, no reason to CTF and goldbotting/botting is the best way to get money with a SoS drop.

Alchemy is hard and fun, however you have to make your own stones, and they will always have a 10%+ chance, which sucks. 0% stones drop from monsters but not that many. The difference between regular gear and SoS is ridiculously big and you can't compete with SoS geared people if you are full regular. The server is really iSro-like, where gear matters more than anything else.

I have dropped 2 SoS weapons with 2 chars botting about 12 hours per day, but that's really lucky, as people have been playing for months with 4+ chars and got no SoS drops yet. I reached end-game and it's boring as fuck. A little bit of fun every Sunday with FW but that's it.

Economy is a bit inflated but still acceptable. If you don't have any free time and want a good 105 CHN only experience, this is a good server as botting is the best way to make money and enjoy PvP during weekends; If you have free time to play, this is not the server for you.

At the second you will get a permanent ban." - except they don't give a crap, and people advertise with Globals freely. id correct some of your statements.
goldbots are continuously banned. those rules on the site are old, probably from the previous server.
dont forget, that its going on everywhere. rich players buy stuff for money.
they dont take responsibility for scams. if you get scammed during a gold or item purchase, they ban the seller but you wont see either your money or your gold anymore.

you shouldnt forget either, that the gameplay is based on the old zszc gameplay. no jg cave, no special edits etc.
there are like 1k active players, not many people know how to use a proxy and thats why most players are with 2 chars.

the difference between sos and normal is exactly +5.

I have not heard of any people getting banned, in fact, there's not much information from the team at all on their website, which's sad.

I only stated that people geared with SoS are unbeatable by people without SoS, I never questioned if that's the original setting or whatever, it's just a fact.

I know at least 6 people with at least 5 chars 24/7. And I'm pretty sure none of these guys have ever had an account banned. I think proxy users are pure cancer and it sucks and wish the server had HWID protection to make it a little harder than only IP Limit, but when botting is the only way to get gear, people will abuse it somehow. I can't agree with your statement saying that not many people know how to use a simple proxy, Google makes any 12 year old a proxy expert in 30 minutes.

I never played ZSZC, therefore I can't say whether the server is based on the old gameplay, no edits, etc or not. All I explained was my own opinion, in which I wish Jangan Cave existed, with So So/Medusa.

When you say 1k active players, I must say Player Count has some fake player numbers, as I have seen times with over 1900 people online, kind of fishy. Anyways, of those 1800 online accounts, I must say that maybe 700 are different people, unlikely to be 1k.

Finally, I never mentioned people being scammed or not (and I couldn't care less about them), all I know is that, if you want, you can Pay2Win here - that's a fact, and not every server is like that, sorry.

I also cannot question how honest/fair the team is, all I can do is hope they are honest.

TL;DR: I like the server quite a bit. I got a lot of stuff for a month playing here, I was very lucky. I have fun once or twice a week, but all there's really left to do is bot hoping for SoS drops and hoping that goldbots stop inflating the economy with gold.

P.S.: That's just how I view the game, no hate here, much love, let's drink till we pass out.

Be sure to give it a try, it's definitely not too late to start. Only difference is that now you gotta be lucky to get strong fast, but if you put enough time and effort into it, you can get phat within a month.

im just started to play and im lvl 37. play old school can be fun but not at all.

-Inventory is a prob after 2 quest expension . what the point to not unluck the 3 page.

-Stack of 50 and 250 arrow, i think 50% of the time my bot run between town and grind spot and i only pick the weapon for gold.
All we need for bot 30 minute leave only 8 to 12 slot free befor full inv, and its also why i have only 1.5m at lvl 37 with noob gear dropped ang i get killed easy from party mob, i need to run again to back to grind spot (lvl 30) Old shcool but not fun & waste time.

-Party - power lvl and go afk ? where the fun i wanna play and i like solo but not like this.

-Starting item, they are greedy, no avatar, no devil , no sp at lvl 37 i cant full farm.
im aggree with farming part but arround lvl 100 + maybe not at lvl 25 is another part unless fron the Old school.

-Im always build without elect ( Speed skill) and on this server with this low money i cant buy potion 100% speed the 20 scroll from quest is done and that force me to chose elect, i cant ff my char so its 38% speed from skill.
At this speed party mob catch me easy so i can die on the way Lmao!

-I got top connection and yeah the server lag.

-I can fix all i said befor exept lag, but if i buy silk or if i buy gold.

-On all server im donate for customise my char and is ok, nobody work for notting and i agree with that.
