Tbh, I wouldn't have to high expectations. I've been there and I know what levels JD is looking for and I am afraid you got some work to do to be there, too.

As far as I was able to follow it, you had Xeemy's and mine approval, yet if I remember right, you abandoned your applications for some time regarding fresh samples and I simply thought you where too busy, so I didn't really pull any strings I might have pulled else.

Well talking about high schools, you can expect them to be able to follow medium level conversations, understand implied meanings and talk quite freely, although with the heavy German accent we all love.
Not everyone is willing to spent so much time on English, though. Most of my fellow students wouldn't last a day in UK or the US. Even now at uni, many still have quit poor developed language skills ...
